They’re soft and fluffy on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside– perfectly spiced and with just a hint of apple cider. I’m sure you’re going to love them.
If you’re using active-dry yeast, you’ll need to bloom the yeast in warm apple cider.

INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup apple cider
- 2 tbsp + ½ cup sugar separated
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup 100% hydration sourdough discard
- 3 tbsp butter melted
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2+ 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon* divided
- 1/8 tsp ground allspice *
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg*
- 1/8 tsp ground cardamom*
- ½ tsp kosher salt
